The Christian life isn’t one triumph after another. We endure suffering, sin, persecution, and temptation while fixing our gaze on Jesus’ promised coming. Through his substitutionary death and victorious resurrection He has guaranteed those He’s redeemed a future of eternal glory and joy. Until that day comes… we have work to do, friend.
In light of the recent texts we’ve been examining in 1 Peter 2-3 at FCL, we’re compelled to view our sacrificial submission in varying contexts – to government, to authorities, in marriage – as honorable and good. A Christian’s Daily Prayer is built on a wonderful lyric set that seeks daily grace to glorify the Lord, from the mighty to the mundane.
